\nTesting a building ensures that the engineer\u2019s design is met for the building. Also during the testing phase, design and construction deficiencies such as hot or cold spots, drafts, odors or noisy areas may be identified early and solutions may be implemented quickly by the contractor or vendor.

\nThe results of Test and Balance in new construction are invaluable to the new building owner, considering the cost of the building. Through these procedures, solutions to complex system performance problems are found and corrected prior to the expiration of the equipment and installation warranty. These procedures will assure the HVAC systems are operating per design specifications. This will help avoid unnecessary heating and cooling over expenditures, occupant discomfort and potential air quality problems. For existing buildings, it\u2019s never too late for a proper balance to increase building efficiency, lower operating costs, and decrease comfort complaints.<\/p>\n
